During his 25 year career Chris Frost has been involved in all aspects of designing and marketing risk management derivative solutions for corporate clients. Prior to starting Riverside Risk Advisors, Chris ran the corporate interest rate derivatives and foreign exchange sales business for the Americas at Societe Generale in New York as a Managing Director. In this capacity he and his team advised corporate clients on a broad range of strategic and tactical solutions related to liability risk management.

Starting in 1995, Chris significantly grew Societe Generale’s derivative footprint throughout the Americas and was involved in numerous landmark hedging and capital raising transactions across a wide range of industries including energy, project finance, infrastructure, private equity, media & telecom and real estate. Notable transactions include designing and executing the delayed takedown private placement hedges for Neptune Regional Transmission (voted Deal of the Year by Project Finance Magazine in 2005) and leading the bank debt hedge program for Peru LNG (voted Deal of the Year by Project Finance Magazine in 2008). Chris was also instrumental in structuring and marketing several prepaid natural gas transactions and executing the taxable and tax-exempt interest rate hedges that were required to secure the underlying economic value for these transactions.

Prior to Societe Generale, Chris was in the corporate derivatives group at Citicorp from 1994 to 1995 where he marketed fixed income derivatives primarily to energy companies. Before Citicorp Chris worked at Renaissance Software, a startup software company that provided fixed income and currency risk management systems for international swap dealers. Before joining Renaissance, Chris worked in the equity sales division at Goldman Sachs from 1989 to 1992. Chris began his career at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago where from 1985 to 1989 he was a commercial banker and U.S. Government bond trader.

Chris earned a BA (magna cum laude) in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Chris is also a CFA charterholder.

Chris is an avid cyclist completing the “Race Across America” in 2007 and a former nationally-ranked triathlete.
